No Men

 

 

This is a mixed media piece using enamel oil and synthetic polymer. Done on a large 22' canvas dropcloth. The idea was to keep the image contemporary with text, enamel and glitter. Mainly a women's face centers around feminist ideas of "no men" and text including "womb", "girl". The light yellow and glitter hues give it a feminine quality where the cutting rough text complicates the painting.
